Established in 2004, Make Believe Ideas has been creating exciting children’s books for over 20 years. Growing in size and expertise every year, we publish into a multitude of languages and foster relationships with incredible collaborators around the world. We have also developed a baby plush range called The Snuggables.

Colour Chronicles is home to ‘The Book of You: A record of childhood’ and ‘The Baby Book of You: A record of your first year’. We believe the world would be a better place if we all knew the story of how we became who we are so it’s our mission to bring beautiful and wanted books to the market that inspire families to capture their own unique story through thought provoking and playful prompts which are fun to think about, a pleasure to write down, and a gift to be able to read back. Our books have inclusivity at their very core. With The Book of You, we now have a tradition that when they turn a year older, we capture the year gone by, sit down and listen to what they have to say then take time for ourselves to complete the grown up’s pages and note down memories about them that may otherwise be forgotten. Each year it’s fun to look back and read their answers from the years before, see how much they’ve grown, and remember things they said. Then it's wonderful to capture the next chapter, continuing their story and seeing it build into a lasting treasury that they’ll keep forever. The Baby Book of You is the baby book I wish I’d had, no presumptions on family, no dictation on when firsts ‘should’ happen, room for humour, and thoughtful extras such as pages for family and friends to write welcome messages. The Book of Me & You is a memory journal for children aged 6+ to fill in with an adult. Perfect for grandparents but designed for any adult/child relationship.

I'm Holly. Spotty Dawdlers was dreamt up over several years of very slow walks with my young children. I wanted to create something simple and sustainable that others could enjoy when they were out on their own very slow walks. Spotty Dawdlers are pocket sized nature spotting books, with stickers to pop on the pages every time something is spotted. A celebration of everyday interactions with nature, the books are full of fun things to spot all year round... dandelions, squirrels, swans, slugs and puddles are impossible for young eyes to miss! Our environmental impact is important to us. Our printers use vegetable inks and on responsibly sourced paper stock. The yarn we use to bind the books is recycled; a remnant of the textile industry. All packaging is recycled and recyclable.

We believe that games are a gift with the ability to bring people together. Through play we can build valuable skills and strengthen relationships. We both create and manufacture our own games and assist other inventors and manufactures in distributing their games. All of the games we distribute have been hand chosen by the owners of our family business.
