Lucky Ink Studio was founded in 2014 by me, Holly (the second hardest working employee here, after the letterpress). Lucky Ink started as a hobby that helped me take a breath from the fast-paced industry I worked in, and along the way morphed into a full-time job. That means I’m now lucky enough (get it?) to spend my days crafting hand pressed greetings cards and stationery, and be a part of bringing celebrations, events and occasions to life in beautiful, high-quality paper form. There are so many things I adore about letterpress and hot foil, but the thing I love the most – the thing that made me fall in love with it in the first place – is the ability to craft something from an idea to completion. Each Lucky Ink design starts out as nothing but your imagination and reams of card, but ends up as a perfect physical representation of how you feel; and I get to see it at every stage! This means it’s mostly me designing, producing and packing orders, but sometimes my lovely live-in Quality Controllers get in on the action too. When not hand pressing or hot foiling, you can usually find me noseying around charity shops for books and toys, or dreaming of going on holiday.Read their story
