Charmlee is the manifestation of raw, untouched, from the earth, herbal medicinals, that have been used for centuries to bring the body, mind and spirit into harmony. As certified Integrative Health Practitioners and wellness junkies, we’ve been reaping the benefits of plant- and herb-based treatments, and adaptogens, for years, using them to combat the effects of pre-mature aging, stress, and anxiety in our personal lives. Combining various ancient herbal medicinals, we’ve relied heavily on our homemade remedies to bring our bodies and minds back into homeostasis. The only thing missing from our story is being able to share them with our community. We’ve collaborated with food scientists, formulators, and nutritionists to create each beverage in the Charmlee line, while staying true to our simple, homemade blends. A Need For Change We arrived in London 15 years ago, our childhoods having been spent on the Baltic Coast surrounded by vast landscapes, huge skies and endless plains. We were raised in communities that have a deep respect for nature and ancient bio-dynamic farming practices. London was a heady change of scene, consumed with big city living, we chased careers and material success. Life was lived day to day and although a lot of fun was had, there was a growing inner need for more fulfilment and renewing our connection with the natural world. Shandy Shack was founded in 2018 by three friends in their twenties on the premise of enabling moderation without compromise for everyone through a range of fun, delicious low-alcohol alternatives. The co-founders, Ed, Tom and Fred, were active, outgoing people that often found themselves hankering after a lighter option to high-ABV beers. It was here that the shandy revival started. And after an initial concept phase touring the UK festival scene in a hand-built, pop-up bar, Shandy Shack proved to be a hit and has since secured nationwide distribution on the shelves of Sainsburys's and picked up brilliant national PR (This Morning, Clarkson's Farm, Sunday Brunch, The Guardian & The Telegraph to name a few) and several awards along the way (including two Great Taste awards).

A MAVRIK TALE... What started as a casual conversation relating to what we perceived as a total absence of decent tasting alternatives to our usual alcoholic tipple, ended up becoming our obsession and passion – how could we create a range of great tasting, low calorie alcohol-free cocktails? ​And so, eighteen months and hundreds of tasting sessions later, Mavrik was born - a great tasting range of healthy, virgin cocktails.

Timeless cocktails, re-imagined. Made for the modern drinker, Blind Tiger produces bar-quality, spirit-free cocktails ready to sip or mix. All-natural, clean-label, gluten-free, and shelf stable, we create a sophisticated alternative that mirrors the look, feel and taste of craft cocktails that are delicious on their own, or an easy craft mixer. Founded by Rebecca Styn, the inspiration came as the result of the challenges of the pandemic. As an owner of speakeasy restaurant called Room 33 (room33.bar), the Prohibition-inspired venue became known for its classic hand-crafted cocktails. In March of 2020 all restaurants were mandated to takeout only, and the states establishments were not legally allowed to sell alcohol-to-go. At the time, 90% of Room 33's sales were bar sales, and as such had to pivot or shutter their doors. One of the initiatives launched were bottled non-alcoholic versions of the classic cocktails – and the response was overwhelming. Also, recognizing a gap in the market, and the emergence of the non-alcoholic sector, Blind Tiger (a moniker for speakeasies) was born. Each N/A cocktail is both RTD and can be a mixer for those that want to add a spirit and are rooted in folklore history - they all have a story to tell - which is noted on the can or bottle.

Jukes was created by Matthew Jukes, a world-renowned wine taster and writer. Matthew noticed an absence of seriously rewarding, healthy alcohol-free drinks, so he decided to create his own. These premium drinks use the olfactory and sensory expertise of a master wine taster, that take the senses to a new and highly satisfying flavour destination. A few years ago I was introduced to an amazing natural enzyme drink that originated in Asia centuries ago. The Cognato Range currently consists of 3 alcohol free wines: Cognato Red, Cognato White and Cognato Rosé. Our wines are produced in beautiful South Africa using grapes grown in the Coastal Region of the Western Cape. The grapes come from low yielding vineyards producing grapes with a high concentration of flavour that result in a full-bodied wine. Making a great wine starts in the vineyard – without high quality grapes you cannot make a fantastic wine. This is especially important when making a non-alcoholic wine as you cannot hide any faults behind the alcohol. Once we have a full bodied wine bursting with flavour, it is time to remove the alcohol from the wine. The alcohol is carefully removed with a vacuum spinning cone process, which allows the alcohol to be removed without affecting the integrity of the wine. At the end of this process we have a wine that is full of flavour and aroma, but without any alcohol. We are firm believers in the importance of sustainability, fair working conditions and a living wage throughout the supply chain. This is why we have worked very hard in making all our wines Fairtrade certified. The Fairtrade certification means that wines are produced with regard to high social, economic and environmental requirements.
