I started designing and selling cards to local Rhode Island shops back in 2005 as a creative outlet from my Environmental Engineering career. I quickly realized design was my passion and quit my day job to run Modern Printed Matter full-time. Yay! Fast forward to today, and hundreds of independent retailers across the US and Canada carry our quirky animal themed designs. All of our cards and calendars are printed on 100% PCW recycled paper (no new trees). Our greeting cards are paired with 100% recycled kraft envelopes and packaged in biodegradable and compostable clear sleeves that are made from plant material. GIVING BACK Animals are the inspiration and subject matter of many of my designs. It's incredibly scary to see so many of them edging toward extinction. I am very excited to be partnering with the Center for Biological Diversity to donate 10% of our wildlife calendar sales (our best selling item) annually to help protect endangered species.
