Hello! I am david scheirer, the artist behind studio tuesday, which I run along with my wife Torrey. The studio tuesday shop is a mix of two styles I work in, brought together by my interest in animals, nature, and watercolor painting. One style has its roots in traditional watercolor painting and features birds, animals, rocks, plants, and other subjects from nature. The style is fairly realistic and accurate but painted in a loose way with personality and character. The other is a more graphic illustration style created with ink and watercolor and features animals and landscapes. This style is simplified and whimsical, although a lot of reality goes into these pieces as well, including the animal forms, animal behavior, and especially their habitats - which are the essence of these pieces as much as the animals themselves.Read their story
