Our sources of inspiration come from the people around us, their daily lives and their personalities. All our creations are part of a logic of sustainability, we collaborate with the best workshops and we select the most beautiful materials to guarantee impeccable quality. BLOI is a clothing brand with the values of ecology, sustainability and ethical and local manufacturing. We like that our designs are founded on our values. We choose fabrics such as organic cotton or recycled materials to make our garments and express our vision of the world through them. We started the project in the city of Barcelona, where we have our office/workshop; it is the place where the collections are developed and we also talk where we talk, discuss, and put into practice the strategies to follow. One of the issues that worried us most was how to control manufacturing, which was really fair working conditions. We decided to bet on small workshops in our area, so we could go and visit them to see how they make our garments and also support the local industry, which in recent years has lost so many places of work due to relocation.

SILVERWIND was founded by us (Keri Waits and Katherine Zeng) in Nov 2020. At the beginning of 2020, we just got our graduate jobs and thought we would stay in those jobs for a while to make a living, but we couldn’t find real purpose in our jobs as we both love sustainability & fitness and none of the businesses we worked for care about sustainability. Also, in our course project, we perceived that there was a lack of variety in the styles and shapes of sustainable activewear – given the diversity of people and the stunning range of plants and animals in nature, we felt that it would be a missed opportunity not to take that inspiration to produce products good for people and the planet! Then we started our own small business of making affordable sustainable activewear & swimwear to offer better options for consumers, creating meaningful content to educate ourselves and others, while working with other sustainable organizations and charities to make positive impacts. At SILVERWIND, we don’t view SILVERWIND as simply a brand, but as a community built and owned by everyone who supports the view that diversity, fitness and sustainability mustn’t be mutually exclusive! We all have the shared responsibility to help each other and our Mother Earth!

This Is Anyo is a female-owned brand founded in April 2021 in Yorkshire, England. The brand mission is to become a pioneer for sustainable, slow fashion. We work hard to ensure our pieces are designed and sourced from ethical means, using only the highest quality materials. Our suppliers are certified and all product certifications such as GOTS and Oeko-Tex can be found on the individual product pages on our website. This Is Anyo's founder, Amy, had worked in fashion buying and merchandising for a number of years and saw first-hand the need for change within the fashion industry. The key goal as a buyer was to get the lowest cost price possible with no consideration for the environment or workers involved. The throw-away and fast fashion culture has become the norm and as a consumer it is easy and affordable to buy a new outfit and wear it once. Amy knew that she was part of the problem, and began her own personal journey to a more sustainable way of living by making small significant changes. With fashion, there was a very limited choice for sustainable brands that offered high quality, style and affordability; this is where This Is Anyo was born.

Barta Jeans - organic & recycled is a brand which makes fashion sustainable cloth for people who believe in organic and pure nature. Those who wear Barta are not only investing in cloth, they do have also an impact on our nature. From Nature for Nature we believe in zero waste production and care about each inch of textiles to get reused and recycled again. With different materials like organic cotton, hemp, linen, tencel and recycled Polyester we do care about each of our styles. Also thru our own produciton facility with almost 70% of women workers we do guarantee a traceable and transparent manufacturing line. Each Jeans is almost washed without water and non toxic chemicals so we can safe for a better tomorrow. Clean Energy is used in our mill and solar panels help us to reduce CO2 emission. With our sales we donate 1% of the income to different charity programms so that everyone can become part of the Barta Community. Today with our collection we try to give back as much as possible back to Nature so that resources can be used by our children tomorrow.

In 2017, Gabriella finished her certification for fashion at Lasalle College of The Arts, Singapore. In 2019, Gabriella and her partner researched the needs of the market on intimate apparel. 'MiiMii' is an intimate apparel line that was launched primarily for the plus-size/curvy woman. Our line not only looks good, but also wears with the comfort you had expect from a product specifically made for a full figured woman. However, we didn't just think of comfort and wearability as we have "sewn in the sexy" to every single piece that bears the brandname. This sexy brand come through, inspired by the full-figured woman was developed to capitalize on a huge market that was being ignored. In a nutshell, the goal is to be their one-stop shop for that sexy and comfortable intimate apparel. Being plus-size, the options for finding clothing/apparel are very limited. A lot of retail establishments are not carrying a wide array of larger sized collections and lingerie manufacturers are mainly focused on producing smaller sizes. According to a retail analyst, the industry has done a disservice to themselves by not offering some of the great choices for the plus-size consumer. MiiMii's goal is to produce a wide array of comfortable, classy and sensual intimate apparel. We are part of a movement encouraging ladies to embrace their curves and love the skin they are in. The MiiMii team comprises of three (3) individuals with Management, Enterprising, Creative and fashion forward minds. Together they have a combined business combined business and fashion experience of 30 plus years.

Our moment to slow down was the Pandemic, where we realised after decades of industry experience that the fashion world needs to change. Since a young age, fashion has always captured my heart. The fabrics, designs, and colours - just light me up! But, I learned quickly that drawing and sewing were not my forte, and I thought that my career in fashion had finished before it had truly begun. Thankfully, that’s not where the story ends. The direction of my life changed at a time when I felt my lowest. After dropping out of college due to struggles with my mental health, I worked many unfulfilling jobs to save up money to explore the world. During my travels, I found the most beautiful fabric I had ever seen in a market in Java, Indonesia. Do you know the saying “love at first sight”? Well, that was me at that moment (only this time this wasn’t with a person!). Unfortunately, my small backpack and lack of money prevented me from taking them back to England, and I came to discover that I couldn’t find these unique fabrics online. After eight months of attempting to find the source and hitting dead-ends, I finally spoke to a mysterious man who said he’d help me if I met him in person. I knew this was a huge risk - and potentially dangerous - but I had to take the chance. This is the career I dreamed of. I refused to let this opportunity slip through my fingers. I flew to Java, and this “mysterious man” became my kind and trusted friend, Agung. We found the fabrics, took them to Bali, and Agung introduced me to the wonderful seamstresses in Denpasar who now create Wear the World’s garments.
