LUZ Collection was born from wanderlust and curiosity. LUZ was founded in 2013 by Chantale De Breceda, who began importing textiles from Mexico for her store YES in Los Angeles. After YES closed at the end of 2017 De Breceda turned importing into a full time job. She works directly with artists in various regions of Mexico to bring her own designs to life and to source traditional designs. The LUZ catalogue reflects a commitment to work with artisans using natural materials and traditional techniques. De Breceda is a member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia and a descendant of the Cowessess First Nation of Saskatchewan. She brings her perspective as an indigenous person to her business practices and is guided by the principles of respect, reciprocity, relevance and responsibility in her work ethic. Although LUZ Collection is not certified free trade, we make every effort to work using fair trade guidelines.

Love was born out of the creative passion to turn used materials into something beautiful and functional. In 2009, this passion started with old wood; we have been working with used and recycled fabrics since 2014. The production process of the Liefe bag is a sustainable and fair process, each bag is carefully made by hand & sewing machine. Recycled canvas, cotton, old tent cloths, B-choice and fabrics from overproduction fabrics are the main ingredients of the various Liefe bags. The bags are produced in a small-scale workshop in India where sustainability is very important, The Liefe bag gets its unique & cool look by (re) using pure materials. It is also a challenge to create a bag with each new design that you can carry in multiple ways. The small bags are mainly made from residues; a zero waste goal is what we aim for. We recycle cardboard packaging, so your shipping box may not be as nice as new, but the contents will make you happy... After all, it's about the inside (and nature) . ❤️

Wicker Wings started as a brother and sister duo, Belinda and James, who after finding out our Māma (Grandma) handwoven baskets in her village in China in hope for a better life. The Mama Made is the result of an awesome mother-and-son collaboration. Irini (the mama) is based in Greece. Naturally, she is the pro crochet technician and has been working on commissions for all time classic doilies. Irini is full of ideas and energy, and needed a new challenge. So, Michail (the son), based in London came up with an interesting way to channel her talent. Being an interior designer – who has worked on display and styling for the likes of Burberry and Vivienne Westwood – he is the style master behind the brand (or that’s what he thinks – says Irini). Together they have teamed up to create a slow fashion and homeware collections that mix traditional handcrafting techniques, seen with a fresh eye.
