My pieces are made for real people who feel just like you. I started covering my hair in 2012 but felt myself getting really frustrated. My head coverings were uncomfortable, ugly, and honestly ... embarrassing. I felt like I was losing a part of myself. But I wanted to cover my hair and I didn’t want to give it up. So I started creating headwear and hair accessories in my basement — just for me. Other women would see my pieces and ask me for it … and I realized I wasn’t the only one with this frustration. And that’s how VALERI was born. Although the business has grown, I still create my pieces for the exact same reason — to help women, myself included, feel confident, empowered, special, and happy.
