We’re committed to giving back to our fellow brothers and sisters who put their lives on the line for others every day. We're Ally Walsh and Casey Wojtalewicz, and we met in Beachwood Canyon in Los Angeles. A model and musician, we fell in love with coffee together. In our travels for work, we would seek out the best local roasters to send beans home to each other, and we came to truly cherish the moments when we could enjoy our favorite morning ritual together—making coffee for each other. Casey started working in coffee as a barista, and became friends with James Klapp, a talented roaster. After a few years, it all culminated in the idea to turn our collective passion into something we could pour their love and energy into and share with the world. We decided to start Canyon Coffee in early 2016, and launched in October of that year with a pop-up at our friend Christy Dawn's shop in Venice, CA. We began by sourcing exclusively organic coffee, with the goal of roasting to develop coffees that were naturally sweet, balanced, and caramelly, and easy to make taste great at home.

It was said of Bob Dylan that all he did was “…play three chords and the truth.” No small task but that’s our guiding mission: keep it simple and make it true. We hand roast the highest quality, most ethical green coffee beans in small batches. We cook simply and heartily. And source only natural coffees, teas, salts--grown responsibly by those who take pride in their work and are recognized for their effort.

Morettino is an authentic love story for coffee born in the 1920s in Sicily, in the heart of the Mediterranean. After years of working in labour, human rights, and the NGO sector, Cristina discovered a common thread - the belief that profit and ethical values can mix. And so the idea of Source Climate Change Coffee was born! We look into the working and living conditions in the field, incentivise small farmers to protect primary forests, and ensure everyone in the supply chain fairly benefits. Source Climate Change Coffee is today the only conservation-led coffee company which is founded to protect the world’s forests, helping customers to make direct payments for ecosystem services for every bag that is sold through reforestation carbon credits. The products are supported by the Plan Vivo Foundation, an independent standard, specifically designed to incentivise smallholders and forest-user groups to provide ecosystem services.
