About The Intersection: Fair Trade

Our story starts when Dane & Meghann were in a village in Kenya with a group of women whose families had been devastated by AIDs. When we met them, they had found hope and income through the rolling of paper beads, which they made into jewelry. We loved hearing the stories of these women, and we loved their workmanship, and so we bought a whole bunch of jewelry to bring back home to sell to our friends. As we shared their stories with our friends and sent the money back to the women we realized that this is what we wanted to do. We wanted to invest our time in connecting people in developing nations with outlets to sell their goods, and in turn connect the stories of people purchasing items with the stories of those who produced them. We wanted to create an intersection at which their stories could meet. We wanted to change the way people thought about what they purchase, and cause them to investigate the origins of their products, and the conditions in which the creators of their products are working. Our goal is to combat poverty and injustice through business. We want products that we can match faces and names and stories to. We want you to know that there are real people who are receiving real benefits for their labour-- ones who were faced with poverty and hopelessness but have now found hope.

Loblola

Loblola was inspired by the beautiful communion between dogs and nature. Modern dogs may lounge on our couches, but their ancestry can be traced directly back to the wild. Our true-to-nature dog toys seek to recreate that connection with the outdoors in the home so you can offer your customers unique, durable dog toys with intriguing natural textures and shapes reminiscent of the wild. Loblola is a SB2SB brand, meaning small business to small business. We love working with independent pet shops to give you unique options to offer your customers that they wouldn't be able to find at a big pet store. We are a member of 1% for the Planet, and we donate 4% of profits to the Soi Dog Foundation.

Shibumi

At Shibumi we collaborate with non-profit organizations to make our planet a better place. We will always look for a 100% eco-friendly way out that reduces the impact on nature. Because to take care of our environment it is not only necessary to recycle or stop buying plastic straws... We must also be aware of where we buy our clothes.

Seek Dry Goods

It all started three years ago after co-founders, Amanda and Larry, completed hiking a 100-mile trek called the Tour du Mont Blanc. After failing to find an authentic and eco-friendly t-shirt to commemorate the hike, the idea for Seek Dry Goods was born. Seek Dry Goods was created with a mission to inspire the everyday with outdoor adventure, while bettering the world we live in. Our collection of apparel, hats and accessories are responsibly sourced and fulfilled from our fabric to our factories to your hands. We support the outdoors through our proud membership with One Percent for the Planet and partnerships with several National Trail organizations.
