Gardenbelle Shop was started in a school bus by Lauren + Joe Gardenbelle, who still live and travel full time in the bus! They have 6 dogs, and started by flipping thrifted clothing throughout their travels. Lauren then began creating her own designs and has them made sustainably and ethically in India where her own patterns of silk are printed exclusively for the shop.

Where does the word Infidel come from? During the War on Terror, the enemies of our great nation referred to us as "nonbelievers" or "infidels". Servicemembers who deployed to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan gladly took on that moniker as the enemy of our enemy. Jason is a disabled Marine veteran who served in the Marine Corps Reserve 2001-2009, and deployed to Iraq 3 times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While serving in the Marines, Jason also worked as a Corrections Officer at Lebanon Correctional Institution in southwest Ohio 2005-2021. After a brief 2 years of working in healthcare, Jason decided it was time to retire to focus on his family and growing business. Our family business was created to help heal from the effects of war and from PTSD, while providing customers with quality and professional care. In 2006 she had a brainstorm to use a men's boxershort waistband band on women's underwear. April came up with this idea after seeing many women's thongs peeking above their jeans and she thought "If we only had the boxer band like men's boxers..."
