We are two Vietnamese-Americans who grew up in Anaheim, California from traditional households. Alula Co. was our way to become independent and purposeful. The name “Alula” has origins meaning “first leap.” Rooted in our decision to found a company that values introspection, Alula was our “first leap.” When the COVID-19 pandemic started, stress management and routine became more important than ever. Alula Co. was established in 2021 out of necessity for self-care. As some days feel longer than others, showers help us wash away what latched onto us throughout the day -- making us feel refreshed, refined, and anew. We've curated aromatherapy where each product is thoughtful and intentional. Our mooncake-shaped shower steamers and crafted scents pay homage to our background as we strive to find balance between traditional culture and American values. All of our products are handmade in small batches from our home to yours. We hope they help you create a space to be present, reflect on the past, and look forward to the future.
