About Deseta Design
Deseta Design is a modern lifestyle brand that creates giftable items and fashion accessories. While the brand draws heavily from the founder's Ethiopian heritage - incorporating rich patterns and lush colors found in the country's traditional art - it is also influenced by the founder's long-time residence in Brooklyn, New York, invoking cultural references from her lived experience into the designs. Sophisticated fractal geometric patterns, which are subdued yet playful and brought to life through joyful colors, are core to the brand. Deseta uses only GOTS-certified organic cotton for the bandanas and grade 6A Mulberry silk for the silk scarves. Earrings are handmade in Brooklyn from digitally printed cotton fabric.
