About Gingergold

Gingergold is the Chicago-based creative shop + studio practice of sisters Cheryl and Sarah Hinman. Originally from Kansas City (on the Kansas side), both pursued degrees in Design. After Sarah made the move to Chicago, the Hinman sisters began exploring ways to collaborate. They had a list of products they’d always dreamed of bringing to life and in 2020 they launched their small shop Gingergold. With their midwestern, can-do attitude the duo finds thrill in taking on any challenge and actively problem solves for ways to create their goods by hand and in small batches. Their work is made under a design lens and infused with thoughtfulness that takes it beyond the ordinary. Read their story
