We are a Mexican-American family with a dream to be successful business owners and teach our children to do the same. In Spanish, Playeras means t-shirts, but it is also slang for beach lovers, which is what we are. We recently moved to our own little paradise, Gulf Shores. Our goal is to become one of the largest apparel companies on the Gulf Coast. We offer a wide variety of graphic t-shirts and gifts. We strive to provide diverse options in sizes infant to adults and everyone in between. Kensi's Korner is one mommy's way of bringing a smile to others. One challenging day at my kids' school, I was trying to keep my toddler occupied during a school presentation. A mom smiled at me, gave me a thumbs up sign, & mouthed, "You are doing great!" After that day, I wanted to make shirts that will make people feel good like how the kind mom at school made me feel. Since 2018, I've been blessed to touch the lives of many people with my handmade tees. I love making a shirt, knowing it is going to make people happy. Hey, I'm Alex! CEO + Professional-ish daydreamer here at KLSD! I'm a believer in Jesus Christ, wife and mama 4 little humans! I started KLSD in 2014 out of my garage and through it, I have been given the gift of new life in Christ! My calling and mission with KLSD is to radiate Christ's love and put the Gospel on display though apparel, events and content! Everything is made in our downtown Fresno warehouse by our amazing team of women! My hope is you feel seen and loved here, always.

My family, and I were leaving church one Sunday, when suddenly my mind began to flood with t-shirt ideas I had come up with some time ago for a line of t-shirts. We had been promotional printers for years printing everyone else’s designs for their businesses, churches, teams, pretty much anyone that needed printing. But I had always wanted to have a clothing line of my own. So I developed the line, and started knocking on doors, clothing stores, souvenir shops, boutiques, anyone that would carry a t-shirt. Soon our line was in 4 stores & we were excited about the possibility that this could be the beginning of something really successful! One day, while speaking with a boutique owner in Decatur, Texas, she told me that I should take my line to Dallas Market. So we prayed, and decided to put money that needed to go towards paying rent towards getting a spot at Market, and building a display booth from reclaimed wood. That first market, we made it into 20 stores! Fast forward a few years and we are still growing rapidly, now in over 1000 stores and adding more all the time. We have gone from just the two of us printing, to a team of great employees and great vendors carrying our line who we love. And of course we couldn’t do any of this without the Lord having giving us the inspiration, direction, and determination to do it.
