Amanda Wirig's fine art prints incorporate pops of vivid color that leap off the surface and a dark nostalgia for decades past that were not as glorious in hindsight. Whether addressing social issues or channeling the other half of herself that survives on guitars and record shops, a strong undercurrent of feminism weaves through her work. Wirig is professional artist in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and she has exhibited in galleries across the United States. In 2021 she gained international gallery representation with TRiCERA Art in Tokyo, Japan, and she is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships for her work. Like her hero Mary Tyler Moore, Amanda is also a type 1 diabetic, and has committed to donating ten percent of all sales from her work to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the eyesight of diabetic people all over the world.
