Made Market Co., founded in 2014, is the creation of a mother-daughter duo upon the opening of their flagship mercantile, Be Made. Jordan, Sue’s daughter, is a graphic and interior designer and loves the challenge each new day brings at Be Made. What other place can you design, create, showcase, and sell so many items you love? Sue has a strong head for the business side of things, yet balances this with creativity and new ideas (that you can count on loving). She raised her family alongside her husband on their family farm just outside of Hays, Kansas. With this duo…anything is possible! Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Sam, the founder and owner behind Frankie & Claude. In 2012, I began designing stationery as a creative outlet and side gig. Inspired by my passion for design and creativity, what started as a weekend hobby transformed into Frankie & Claude — a stationery and lifestyle shop. We’re on a mission to help people gift beautifully and give intentionally. In the fall of 2015, I took a leap of faith and quit my day job to pursue my business full-time — and I’ve never looked back. Wickman was created in 1999 by Bryce Huie with the design and invention of the Wickman candle tool. The business was a side business until the original wick trimmer with debris catching trays was added in 2001, at which time Wickman became a full time occupation for Bryce. Since then Wickman has been sold around the globe and is recognized as a premier candle accessory supplier to the gift shop industry. Form and function are taken into consideration when designing new and unique candle accessories. The original wick trimmer's elegant design and ergonomic shape instantly captured the attention of candle lovers, giving Bryce the creative confidence to expand the line further. Bryce enjoys solving problems, imagining and creating better solutions, and adding an aesthetic component to whatever he designs. He is very grateful for the customers and fans that support Wickman and who enjoy and appreciate his hard work and design. If it weren't for them, there would be no motivation nor opportunity to turn imagination into a reality. After 20+ years as owner of Sik World, an adult novelty clothing line, he wanted to try something that allowed more creativity so he joined a MakerPlace, learned about laser cutters and developed the line you see here.
