About Refuge Studios Iowa City
Refuge Studios is an art practice created by Jessica Duling. As a midwest based artist, their work is centered around environmental and social advocacy balanced with playful light-hearted themes. That work can be easily recognizable by the use of bright serotonin soaked colors and the use of a graphic style illustration. Refuge Studios is eco-conscious in the production practices so we use sustainable and eco-friendly materials wherever we can in the studio and are always improving our environmental goals.

Fresh Prints of CT provides a wide assortment of unique hand crafted posters and gifts. Each item you see has been carefully selected from the portfolios and studios of artists we collaborate with as well as our own maker studio. Berk and I met each other while taking a business class in college. Through our love for each other and everything quirky we developed and launched Fresh Prints of CT. Our philosophy is to honor self-expression in all its forms. We seek different perspectives and dare to be different. We look for popular trends and then experiment with design to make our items stand out. We have a passion for what we do. Everyday we are committed to innovation and creativity. We sell anything that tickles us and inspires us in hopes that we can bring the same joy to our customers. Part of our philosophy is to “do the right thing.” We will always treat people how we would like to be treated. We will also always consider our impact on the environment. The majority of our products are made in the USA. Being the main makers of the products we sell enables us to cut out the middleman and offer cool items with high margins for our partners. It also offers us better control of the overall quality of each item. Please save and use our direct link to navigate directly to our storefront on Faire. We hope you find something from our eclectic assortment of products that speaks to you. Peace and Love, Berk and Katie
Madison Bay Company began as Leib Image Archives, founded in 1976 by John Leib as a part-time business while he was teaching high school. He began by collecting historical photographs, but quickly grew his archive from five civil war photos to over 15,000 historical images. John Leib retired after 27 years of teaching and devoted himself full-time to the wholesale historical image business in 1989. His son, Troy, joined John in 1990 to operate the business as a partnership with a property in York, PA, including offices and a small warehouse. Today, they share the business on a daily basis. The year 1996 marked a major change for the company. The product line expanded to include historical reproductions of Colonial, Civil War, Indian, Western and Nautical gifts. Wholesale customers included antique boutiques, home decor, national parks, historic sites, theme parks and gift shops throughout the United States. As the business continued to grow, a much larger warehouse and office in East Berlin, PA was purchased. Since the original business name no longer quite fit the distinctive product line, the business incorporated and adopted a new name, Madison Bay Company, in 2000. Products now include: framed oil painting print reproductions and cut silhouettes (made in PA), teak and mango wood small writing desks and writing accessories, brass antique reproductions, scrimshaw ox bone boxes, reproductions of antique transferware porcelain and hand-blown, molded glassware.
Inspired by all things raw, earthy and organic in nature, my paintings are a reflection of the wanderlust me, as well as a deep appreciation for how magical, intricate and beautiful this world is. Offering a sense of peace, wonder and life through artwork.
We create digitally hand-drawn art prints, stickers and greeting cards inspired mainly by iconic women, pop culture and all things retro!
I remember drives home from the family farm as a kid. I'd have my big rosy-pink binder open in my lap, writing down all the names of the animals I'd have at my very own rescue-sanctuary one day. While the farm may now be a memory, it is also the seed of my dreams. Henry David Thoreau wrote, 'If you have built castles in the air (or barns, as it were...), your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.’ I love to draw. It is almost meditative to pencil myriad tiny lines until a beautiful life appears on the page. The characters I draw are a part of an interwoven community, each with their own tale. These stories come together to underline the understanding of worth and value in every one and, from a larger perspective, the idea that we all have a gift that we must be responsible to, for our selves and our community. This is Central & Gus. To be able to build a veritable foundation from ideas on paper is a wonderful thing and we are so grateful to everyone that resonates enough to make this a reality. It is our hope that these animal drawings offer something special to you and, with a shoulder to the wheel and an eye to the horizon, as much support possible to animals in need. Currently, we donate a percentage of gross sales to animal welfare. Next step: our own sanctuary. So, here's a glance above and a big thank you to you...stay tuned….
Pink Lemon Decor makes it easy for you to add affordable wall art to your home. Bringing you timeless designs and an emphasis on quality and detail. While I am the primary business owner, my husband and two boys are always by my side. We travel in our mobile boutique, a vintage 1975 pink camper called the Wildflower.

Curious Prints was born in 2010 and is the creation of Louisiana born designer, Kate Faulk. What started as an outlet to share the vintage images she loved so much has grown into a lifestyle brand offering home decor and accessories. "I have always been fascinated by birds, insects, the creepy crawly things I came across as a kid. I grew up on a farm in South Louisiana and it's still my happy place. As my personal collection of vintage science prints has grown, I have discovered how much I love connecting with others through a shared love of vintage art. As a graphic designer by trade, I have developed a passion for retouching and restoring vintage images and experimenting with the printing process. This curated collection is ever evolving and I continue to try out new processes and materials." - K.F. About our process - As vintage book lovers, we scout antique stores, estate sales, markets, and online book dealers to track down the most unique scientific illustrations out there. The art we reproduce is from 1920s to as early as the 1600s. All art is scanned, retouched and printed by us in Austin, TX. We also take our paper very seriously at Curious Prints. We use paper made in the USA using 100% cotton made from cotton linters (linters are considered "recovered fibers" by the EPA. By using linters, we are putting to use what would have become waste). Our giclee prints are acid free, archival and museum quality ensuring a long life span - even outside of a frame.

Hi thanks for being here, I’m Meghan of Bellamy Home Studio. I’m known for creating calming landscapes and relaxing DIY Paint By Number Kits. My main mediums are paper, paint and wood. I use these materials in order to create one of a kind artwork. I’m an artist living on Vancouver Island, Canada. When not creating artwork I am constantly looking for inspiration by exploring the island with my dog, Luna. I believe that artwork can be both calming and beautiful. As someone with anxiety I know how it helps improve your overall wellbeing to decorate your home with items that make you feel good. After several people told me that my art is calming I realized I was trying to soothe my anxiety through art. I’m so happy to extend that peaceful feeling to the walls of your home.

Emma Allen is an Ontario based artist specializing in high quality watercolour and calligraphy prints and products. Her style is a balanced mix of timeless and modern, allowing for thoughtful home décor and gifting solutions. Born and raised in small town Ontario, Emma has always focused on her creative goals which have brought her to creating Emma Allen Design Studio. After moving to the west coast upon graduation, Emma dedicated 2 of her post-university years to photographing national level athletes in Victoria. It was two years after starting this position, that Emma decided to leave her full-time job and Emma Allen Design Studio was born. While she originally focused only on photographing weddings and local events, Emma's love for graphic design and fine arts soon snuck into her business plan. She taught herself how to use the Adobe suite, paint with watercolours, and do calligraphy… the rest is history! Emma now creates her watercolour and lettering products from her home studio in Ontario. In addition to using almost entirely recyclable products and low volatile organic compounds, inks and solvents (vegetable based), Emma repurposes shipping materials and uses local suppliers to do her part in contributing to a more sustainable future.
