At the time, we struggled to find affordably-priced toys that excited our children while reflecting our aesthetic, social, and sustainability values. Over the past 16 years, our business has grown, just like our children. Axol & Friends is a socially conscious startup that produces plush toys, storybooks, and gifts from eco-friendly and recycled materials in the image of rare endangered species. We are committed to sustainability, impact, and empowerment in every aspect of our brand, which is why we focus on endangered species, only use ethical labor, and even plant trees to offset our carbon footprint! Our storybook series tells the story of Axol the Axolotl traveling the globe teaching values of compassion, community, and conservation. The book is suited for ages 4 and up, written to be read with parents or independently based on your child's personal reading level. Most importantly, a portion of every sale goes straight to our nonprofit programs where we empower youth to be activists and environmentalists. We have partnered with NGOs in the same regions our main characters call home, Mexico and Thailand. In Mexico we are funding community programs and after-school care, and in Thailand we are funding the construction of new schools and shelters for refugees, stateless children, and former victims of human trafficking. Additionally, we donate plushies to children in need, at hospitals, foster care agencies, and both US and Int'l community organizations! Thank you for joining our movement.
