Established in 2003, The brand name 'Kancan' originates from the cancan dance. The cancan is a high energy dance that was popular in music halls of the 1840s, and it is still widely known today for the physically demanding choreography designed to complement the flamboyant attire that is traditionally worn by the performers. This dance became an inspiration for our brand name as the active and the lively natures of the dance captured the identity of our denim products. RETURN POLICY Unaltered, unworn, and unwashed merchandise may be returned for store credit. All merchandise must have original tags and labels attached and must be in the original polybags. If your returned merchandise does not meet these criteria, we will not be able to process your return. Prior written authorization is required for all returned merchandise. If you are not satisfied with your order, please notify wholesale@kancanusa.com within 7 business days of the delivery date. Approved returns will be issued a Return Authorization Number. Please check all details on your invoice immediately upon receipt of your order. * You must report any wrongly shipped item(s) within 7 days from the day of delivery. Sandy Martin is the founder and president of Green 3. Sandy grew up in the rural Midwest, dreaming of brighter lights and bigger cities. After graduating from high school, Sandy left small town life behind and began an education and career that would take her to Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Her expertise in product development was eclipsed only by her love of family. Still shy of the age of 40, and at the height of her corporate career, Sandy decided to “retire” and dedicate herself to being the best mom she could be. In between soccer games, parent-teacher conferences, and volunteer work, Sandy kept one eye on the ever-changing feminine apparel marketplace. Personally frustrated by designers who lacked imagination, retailers who didn’t understand fit, and manufacturers who valued a nickel more than the environment and communities they operated in, Sandy decided to re-enter the game with a women’s company of her own. Green 3 is built on a personal philosophy of honesty, environmental awareness, love of family, and a sense of childlike wonder that no one should ever outgrow. Green 3 is located in the beautiful rural Midwest. After seeing the bright lights of big cities all over the world, the realization was easy to come by; that who you are and what you stand for is never defined by where you are or what you wear. Lauren is a self taught artist (with the help of a few youtube instructional videos too) who has turned a love of doodling into an entire brand of goods that sell out over and over again.

While I was in college, I made plans to own a small business in my retirement. That is, own a business after a very long enjoyable career in education. After graduating from Mississippi State University, I taught for seven days. Just seven. Very. Long. Days. I didn't take me long to realize that teaching for the next thirty years wasn't anywhere near God's plan for me. So to make ends meet, I worked at a bank's call center for a little over a year. In that five by five cubicle with the phones ringing and while simultaneously telling people their checking account balances, The Chester Drawer was dreamed and planned. In April of 2013 after making about $400 at a local festival with crafts that I had made, I left the bank to pursue this business full time. I had nothing but a fresh tax ID number and lots and lots of ideas. Why in the world my husband agreed to this crazy plan, I will never know. We have learned and grown and improved so much in the last ten years. It is truly a joy to be able to share our goods with people like you. I want the items we make to bring a feeling out of person holding it. Laughter. Inspiration. Loyalty. We truly appreciate each of our customers more than you could imagine!
