Hey, my name is Mariana, I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, living in Victoria, Canada. I am all about visual, colors, shapes and art. I always had a passion to do things with my own hands. I started to paint when I was 12, at 14 I had my first exhibition. I majored as a product designer and after university started to work as a clothing designer. A few years after that I realized that my real passion is jewelry! I’ve worked for a few companies designing jewelry back in Rio, but it was when I moved to Vancouver in 2016 that Kaju was born!

Founded in 2005 by Zoe Lindsley whilst studying fashion as an undergrad, the love of collecting vintage jewellery and found items went from experimenting with repurposing ‘junk’ to developing a brand identity. From initially catching the eye of her fellow students, before long she had a popular stall at London’s Portobello Road Market where a loyal following emerged. In 2007, she decided it was time to take the business online. While the brand has grown since then, its core identity remains the same: effortless everyday jewellery. Zoe now works with a manufacturer to produce her collections, and she’s hired her sister, Mollie, who you’ll see across all our social media and on hand to help with designs. These are sisters in business, behind the scenes of Junk Jewels and doing it their way.

Martini Metal Craft is an East Coast raised, Left Coast transplant, one-woman studio: crafting authentic jewelry for people hammering out their own stories. Now based in Bellingham, WA, Marijo has made jewelry for 20+ years. It wasn't until she was engaged and wanting to save money for her wedding that she catapulted herself into silversmithing. She thought, why not make her wedding bands versus spending thousands of dollars buying a set? Best decision ever! As a metalsmith, Martini Metal Craft designs and hand fabricates jewelry collections from raw materials. Each piece resonates with the practical, the devoted, and the not too complicated.

Katie Waltman Jewelry was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah during the Spring of 2002. First inspired by her grandmother's bead collection, Katie began making pieces for herself. Since then, Katie's jewels have become highly sought-after treasures. Katie Waltman jewelry has been seen in People Style Watch, Elle Magazine, and Oprah.com and has a clientele that includes Molly Sims. She attributes her success to her passion for creativity and her love for all things beautiful. When Katie is not designing she is developing her talents as a violinist. She holds a bachelor's degree in violin performance from the University of Utah, as well as a master's degree in the same field from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
