About Knotty Pine Woodworks

Knotty Pine Woodworks is a family business in a small town in SW Montana. We have a passion for Montana and the outdoors and try to incorporate that into all of our products. We love new challenges and making new designs, customizing our designs to fit your store or location, even starting something new from scratch. We make a great team as we typically design projects together, JR builds them, and Samantha does all of the finishing process. We have two young children who also love getting involved. From harvesting logs, to painting, sanding, and sometimes even creating their own designs, it keeps us all together having fun. We source as much as we can from Montana. We buy all our lumber rough cut from small saw mills around our area, then process all the boards into our products. As you may imagine we have a lot of sawdust and shavings from prepping all this wood into our products. We do our best to reduce waste by giving these to local farmers in the area for bedding and compost. Supporting small business is what keeps communities like ours moving.
