Red Bird Naturals began in 2011 while I was working at a farm-to-table restaurant and attending yoga training sessions in my home state of Arkansas. My mind was shifting from wasteful to sustainable, junk food to whole foods, and chemical products to all-natural. Every choice we make affects the environment, our community, and our bodies, and I wanted to be a part of the solution. The name Red Bird is a tribute to my grandma Betty, who would tell me a story about a red bird that visited her window every day. The red bird would tell her tales about his travels around the country, collecting stories from each of my family members, and then relaying the fun things they were doing that day. Sitting on my grandma's lap and listening to her soft voice was the most at peace I can ever remember feeling as a child, and the world needs that energy. My slogan is Pure. Simple. True - my grandma's best qualities, and what I strive to include in each product. What sets us apart from other body care companies is that most of our herbs are either grown by a community farm in Fort Collins or wild-harvested by us. Our products are also made in small-batch quantities. Both of these elements make for a nutritiously rich and as-straight-from-the-ground product as possible. We take an old-fashioned approach to formulating new products- respecting the knowledge that came before us and honoring old-time herbal wisdom- all the while crafting something new and unique that the world has never seen.
