We make wooden shoes for girls and women in a way that is sustainable and fair. We are passionate about natural materials, color, handicraft tradition and new ways of updating the traditional clog. Our shoes are hand made in southern Sweden by a third generation clog maker.

OUR HISTORY Who are we? Created in 1987 (initially under the name of Karston) Emilie Karston is a French brand of shoes for women, located in Maine et Loire, a historic footwear basin. Taken over in 2017 by a grandson of a leather craftsman and the son of shoemakers, passion and family spirit are still at the heart of developments. Designed in Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges, all our creations are made by our team of designers. Manufacturing, which was still carried out in the small French workshop until spring 2020, could not be maintained. Today, our models are made in Asia, in compliance with the brand's requirements on natural finishes and materials. The choice of leathers remains a priority and comes from carefully selected tanneries. Our vocation: to offer women shoes that combine femininity, comfort and originality to embody French style. Our inspiration Our creations are inspired by French fashion, to which we add our style. With each new collection, our team travels to the four corners of the world to be inspired and create unique designs signed by Emilie Karston!

Made since 1945 on the Spanish island of Menorca, Pons are ethically made by hand with sustainability and longevity in mind. The raw materials are all sourced locally in Spain, including the rubber sole (the classic style features a sole made from 10% recycled tires) and the high-quality natural vecchio leather— which is ethically sourced. Available in 40+ different color ways, Pons are chrome dyed to strict EU REACH standards. The Pons workshop in Ciutadella (images below) is owned and operated by the third-generation of the Pons family and employs about a dozen local craftspeople, some who have spent their entire adult lives honing their shoemaking craft.

Based out of Vancouver, Canada, we founded the business in 2020 with the aim of changing the way people see fashion. Disheartened by the disposable nature of fast fashion, our founder Cinthia was inspired by her home country of Mexico, where many artisans still produce fine leather accessories with techniques that have been refined through generations. So she founded Harmonica as a way to share their skills and craftsmanship with the world, and to support and uplift artisans around the world.

We are a “huaraches” brand founded by two friends in love with Mexico, its people, and its traditions. Everything we do is made with the utmost respect and admiration for the artisans who make MEXAS possible. We work hand in hand with the master Huaracheros to create these colorful and original designs. It takes between 4 and 5 months to produce the whole season as they are 100% handmade shoes and require a lot of patience. We donate part of the profit to an NGO that supports women at risk of exclusion in the region where it occurs.

SALT+UMBER is owned and operated by a a female designer and entreprenuer. After a decade in the mass-market footwear industry, seeing the destruction caused to mother nature by the shoe-manufacturing process and unethical business tactics, she decided to make a drastic change in her career. By thinking outside the box, focusing on creating unique styles, finding diversity in manufacturing, and promoting ethical and sustainable practices, she hopes to enlighten the consumer with the story behind each pair . Every piece from the SALT+UMBER collection is handcrafted, targeting the eco- conscious consumer who appreciates quality and accessibility. We use small-batch, sustainable manufacturing processes, and do not use large machinery to produce our shoes.

Nikola Sandals is a family-owned independent workshop located on the island of Corfu, Greece. Producing high-quality handcrafted leather goods with an emphasis on sandals. Each item is handmade to order in-house by us. For the sandals soles, we use high-quality cowhide leather from the island of Crete and for the straps full grain leather from either Crete or Italy.
