Cork and Charm started out as a fun way to make custom earrings and incorporate novelty charms in a new way. As it grew into a business, I wanted to find to a way to be able to support others at the same time - I didn't want this business to be just about me. As a long-time volunteer in my community and wanting to make more of an impact around me, I decided to donate 50% of my profits to charities, nonprofits, animal rescues, and environmental organizations. Each earring has a different story and supports a specific cause. For example, from novelty food earrings, 50% of the profits go to food banks. All of the crafting earrings such as knitting, crocheting, sewing, 50% of the profits go to a non-profit that manufacturers coats and shoes for children in need. For cat and dog earrings, 50% of the profits go to local animal rescues. Sports earrings will support children with disabilities and prosthetics. Women want to feel pretty and valued. When they buy jewelry, it makes them feel good and boosts their self-confidence. When they make a purchase with Cork and Charm, it also gives them an opportunity to have a share in helping their community. They are able to do something for themselves, and help someone else at the same time. Each earring has a different story and supports a specific cause.
