Lesa Sawyer, Giving Bracelets Founder, has always had a heart for children. Over the years, she’s volunteered with numerous local non-profits and made fiscal contributions, but she wanted to make a more significant impact and find a way to give back full-time. One day, as she sat in her living room surrounded by the remnants of her former handbag business, something clicked. She could repurpose all the leather strips and make an ongoing impact on children’s lives across the globe. That afternoon, the seeds of Giving Bracelets were planted in her mind. Giving Bracelets strives to create high-quality, sustainably made bracelets to benefit projects near and dear to Lesa’s heart. Today, Giving Bracelets supports Voices for CASA Children, Project Hawaii, and Angel Wings International. Each of these organizations was founded with a mission to give back in an actionable and sustainable way. We also strive to give back to our own communities and create products ethically and sustainably. To start with that endeavor, we choose to work with elderly artisans to create our bracelets. This allows these often undervalued members of our community to do meaningful, important work. Their work is delicate, high-quality, and infused with love. Frosted Willow started in 2008 out of the need for lightweight bangles that are easy to wear and fun to combined for a full arm party, Each piece is handcrafted by myself out of different materials such as brass, sterling silver, gemstones and gold filled wire. The different collections now boost over 500 motifs in nautical, woodland, and feathery themes.

"Calling Small to Large wrists My Wristy Business sprouted out of Lisa's NEED rather than a WANT for cool, creative and unique petite bracelets. Her neighbour was looking for the same thing at the opposite spectrum and away I went satisfying women of all sizes. After a 28 year position in Finance, Lisa found her bracelets taking off in a BIG way, found the demand was there and jumped in 100% and never looked back. She encourages all women to seek what they desire and don't let fear get in the way. The bracelets are made of quality leather and zinc alloy metal (lead & Nickel Free) with Sterling Silver Plate. I source my pieces from Spain and Greece. A simple polishing cloth will help keeping the bracelets look fresh if they dull as silver would.

My story as an artist began in 2010 when I followed the footsteps of my dad. He unrolled his napkin at a local restaurant in Ann Arbor, MI to discover the tines of his fork bent outwards. This sparked an idea in his mind to bend silverware and give it a new life. While I was in college, I joined him and together we refined the process to make smooth, consistent bends in silverware. After he grew out of the trade, I took over and continued in the same spirit of constant improvement in design and tooling. Everything you see in my store today stems from my philosophy of constant innovation. All of the tools that I use to bend silverware are developed in house. These tools allow me create smooth, complex bends with unmatched, sophisticated designs. Creating jewelry from recycled media ignited a passion for preserving our environment within me. All of my jewelry is 100% recycled and reused and stands as a symbol of environmental protection. I strive to create a purpose behind my art. To show people that we can produce wonderful things without damaging our planet. This drives me as an artist to produce to best silverware jewelry that I can.
