Each Strong N Free CDN Wooden Sign is thoughtfully designed and meticulously crafted in our workshop in Victoria BC, situated on Vancouver Island. Precision and attention to detail are invested in creating each sign using high-quality, 100% solid wood. To achieve the beloved farmhouse aesthetic, a subtle distressing process is applied, and for added durability, a clear coat is carefully applied to the front of each sign. SIGN COLOR: When you choose a sign color, you are selecting the background color. Due to the intrinsic characteristics of wood, each sign may display imperfections, contributing to the uniqueness of each piece. As our signs are handcrafted, slight variations are inherent to the artistic process. Over the years I was able to quit my corporate job, hire an entire team of girl bosses, and in 2019 my husband was also able to quit his corporate job to join us. Tropical destinations draw tens of millions of visitors each year because of the regions’ rich and varied history, culture, and culinary delights. And, like us, many people are simply drawn to the warm sun, beautiful beaches, and blue water. That's why we started Tropical Vibes. Unlike many other entrepreneurs, we didn’t daydream about starting this business while we were toiling away in corporate jobs. We actually bought a travel agency only to quickly discover that it was not the business for us. Unfortunately, our clients seemed to agree! Instead, they kept asking us for our Tropical Vibes branded gear and within a short time, we were selling more gear and less travel. Along the way, we’ve experienced all of the typical highs and lows. We’ve partnered with some fantastic local retailers, and we’ve agonized over the powerlessness of having product stuck at the port during COVID. Our garage (slash gym, slash actual garage) has been stuffed full of boxes, and our friends and family have been recruited to help with everything from taking boxes to the post office, modeling for photo shoots, and being strong shoulders during our toughest days.
