My day to day life has always revolved around aromatic things - from new washes to candles - and I wanted a new 100% natural option, so I decided to create my own! I believe that fragrance is an extension of your home design and my goal is to create high quality products with accessible price points in mind. I have placed careful consideration and a-lot of love into each one of my products. I can't wait for you to experience them! Owned and operated by Alicia, who manages the candle design, curation and all production and help from her husband Stephen, who handles logistics and photography. Alicia started this company when she found out about all of the toxins and chemicals found in a lot of candles, in an effort to provide a clean burning, high quality candle to the public. Did you know that some candles release the same toxins found in diesel fuel? That over 25% of candles contain heavy metals in their wick? In 2015, Classy Smashed began hand pouring pop culture and meme themed soy wax candles. After graduating from college, I saw the job listings we’ve all come across at one point or another. They read something along the lines of “Entry Level Position —must have 10 years experience.” Taking matters into my own hands, I decided to create my own job experience and founded Classy Smashed, a line of pop culture-themed products for the super fan in us all. Shortly after I started to brainstorm what Classy Smashed would be, life took a turn for the worse as my sister passed away. Starting this candle company helped me stay busy during that tough time, and gave me an outlet for all my creative ideas. I believe it’s important for all of us to find something we are passionate about, and that working towards a goal can help us get through life’s obstacles. What many would call guilty pleasures, I embrace with no guilt at all. Life is too short to be so serious. My goal is to offer the best collection of products that help people express what they love, and puts a smile on their face. Today, Classy Smashed has over 15 different scents, two different lines of candles, and now offers candle accessories and apparel on our website.

North Woods & Wicks Co. Welcome! I'm Rachel, a small-town girl from northern WI and the face behind North Woods & Wicks Co. (formerly Rachel's Rustic Decor) I'm the one that cuts, sands, paints, pours & packages all of your signs & candles. I DO NOT USE any vinyl lettering on my wood signs. I started making signs about 2 years ago mostly for myself, family & friends and then I realized more and more people wanted to actually buy them & the rest is history! Along with wooden signs I recently took over my parent's candle business, Superior Candles. I've combined the two into one to create North Woods & Wicks Co. As a maker I'm constantly growing and learning new things, I'm looking forward to seeing where this little shop takes me. From a young age I've always loved helping others, as well as using my creativity to express myself. It was only natural that I went into the Healthcare field (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) to do what I know best! Which is caring for others, and making them feel comfortable and loved. As I began my new career, I really needed a new outlet for my creativity. This is when I really got interested in candle making. I realized the possibilities are endless, and this was another way I could help others feel good, as well as myself.
