Where it all started... In 2009 I visited Nepal for the first time. I simply fell in love with the country and the people, and since then I have been visiting the country 1-2 times each year. Gamcha is a small village in Nepal where my family before the big earthquake owned an ecological driven guesthouse. My father and I became fascinated by the traditional handicrafts that crafters were making in their small workshops - and here the idea of Gamcha started. We wanted to share the beautiful work in Europe and in mean time support the Nepalese crafters. Shanti and Nirjala are two women who started a felt production in 2004 and in collaboration we started designing products fitting the European market. Europeans loved our idea which means that today more than 125 women are working making our designs with fair treatment and payment: We have the vision to help even more nepalese women to get a fair payed job and therewith independence which is rarely for women in Nepal. Shanti and Nirjala has become my good friends and even though they live and work over 7000 km from Copenhagen, we have close contact and even talk on daily basis. With the growing felt production we've added organic cotton products to our collection with illustrative motifs that carry the same playful, imaginative aesthetic as the felt products. It was in 2018, when my first baby was born, that it all started. I had the desire to find quality, modern and affordable baby items and I couldn't always find them. That's how I came up with the idea to produce them and, a few 34502 coffees later, Les Bambins was finally born! Les Bambins is an online store that offers quality products designed here and handmade in Quebec or by our suppliers with whom I have built a relationship of trust and whose values are similar to mine. We offer products with original designs and incomparable softness. Les Bambins is also the possibility to find different trendy items in one boutique, the dream of every new parent! I started The Crafty Brunette Co as a way to share my creations with friends and family. Today it has grown so much and I love that I get to be a part of special moments when it comes to new babies and weddings + so much more!

After graduating from college in Upstate New York where she studied Art History and Photography, Karen Zukowski moved to NYC to pursue a career in the photo world. When her son turned one, Karen was inspired to start her own design company, Finny and Zook. Her collection of whimsical drawings are based around simple design and a sweet candy colored palette. Karen currently lives in Upstate New York and runs Finny and Zook full time.
