We Started Wolf In Winter at home here on Vancouver Island, after one of our many walks with our beloved Wire hair Pointing Griffon, Daisy. Her image is actually our logo at Wolf In Winter! Daisy loved going for walks and we loved taking her, but it always seemed like a chore to get organized for a walk. Doggy bags, leash, toys, treats spilling out, whistle etc... What if we had a bag you can hang at the front door, or in the car, ready to go? I looked for an all-in-one Dog Walking Bag that would work for us, and everything I saw online was cheap, poorly made, looked funny when worn or a combination of all three! So we sat down at the dinner table one night and started designing our own. We wanted a bag that was good quality, great looking, super easy to get treats out of, and big enough to carry everything we needed to get outside fast with our Daisy. Room for a large cell phone and doggy waste bag dispenser...add a little bit of "spicy colour to the top" and voila! The Wolf In Winter Dog Bag was born! This bag has been such a hit that we've added more colours and more utility to the bag including a pocket divider and larger side mesh pockets that hold water bottles. It even comes with an up to 60" cross body strap and belt, theres a fit for everybody. It's easy to wear as a fanny pack or cross-body! My family, and I were leaving church one Sunday, when suddenly my mind began to flood with t-shirt ideas I had come up with some time ago for a line of t-shirts. We had been promotional printers for years printing everyone else’s designs for their businesses, churches, teams, pretty much anyone that needed printing. But I had always wanted to have a clothing line of my own. So I developed the line, and started knocking on doors, clothing stores, souvenir shops, boutiques, anyone that would carry a t-shirt. Soon our line was in 4 stores & we were excited about the possibility that this could be the beginning of something really successful! One day, while speaking with a boutique owner in Decatur, Texas, she told me that I should take my line to Dallas Market. So we prayed, and decided to put money that needed to go towards paying rent towards getting a spot at Market, and building a display booth from reclaimed wood. That first market, we made it into 20 stores! Fast forward a few years and we are still growing rapidly, now in over 1000 stores and adding more all the time. We have gone from just the two of us printing, to a team of great employees and great vendors carrying our line who we love. And of course we couldn’t do any of this without the Lord having giving us the inspiration, direction, and determination to do it. And thanks to you, our customers and fans of Mason Jar Label who we appreciate so much.
