Marila is a family and conservative company based in Elche (Alicante), a European shoemaking city for tradition and artisanal experience. Every season we design and manufacture collections full of creativity and quality from the Mediterranean, an exceptional enclave in which we inspire all our designs. Founded in 1986, it is a company that combines tradition and know-how in the manufacture of footwear. Our designs follow the latest fashion trends, which often include vertigo heels and high wedges, always respecting the natural shape and ergonomics of the foot, being footwear that adapts optimally, enveloping it without compressing it, so that walking is a real pleasure, with heels, wedges or flats, Marila is synonymous with comfort. Marila produces all types of shoes, however, its main product range is concentrated on the production of sandals with exceptional quality and comfort, a market in which it has managed to position itself and be a specialist. All Marila models are integrated with the Plantisoft Method, the 5mm thick padded insole that keeps your feet from suffering when walking. In search of a valuable project we have created a product that is not perfect but unique! Our Babouches will never be predictably perfect, because they are handmade. We are constantly confronted with the imperfections of the raw materials we use for the upper and that we do not want to hide but enhance. This shoe was born as a “poor” shoe, and for centuries the women of the families made them during the winter, using what little they had available: the sole was made from old tires of bicycles, the uppers were scraps of cloth, the Blecs, and scraps of fabric scraps. Babouches Frulan has decided to keep the tradition in the LE VELOURS, LES SOIERIES and ÉTOFFES lines, but the ancient art of packaging scarpets has met the right momentum in our company contemporary in the use of leather, even exotic, and furs. A project unrelated to the fashions of the moment that tend towards what is mistakenly defined (for us) ecological, because what can be less respectful for the environment than using materials produced with pollutants? Starting from the idea of wanting to contribute to the spread of scarpetz, we started a creative process that, without ever abandoning tradition, provided for innovation in form, structure, choice materials and accessories up to manufacturing: moments linked by a simple and therefore clean and elegant balance.

We have a history of handcrafting premium natural anatomic shoes by following the nature and proudly serve the needs of human who appreciate natural touches, orginality, creativity and profound sense of achievement. A combination of simple and chic designs independent from time and trends, special leathers, natural wool, natural cork soles , elaborate handcraft and refined solutions providing ease of use, products are manufactured with the aim to become an indispensable part of your life.

We are a “huaraches” brand founded by two friends in love with Mexico, its people, and its traditions. Everything we do is made with the utmost respect and admiration for the artisans who make MEXAS possible. We work hand in hand with the master Huaracheros to create these colorful and original designs. It takes between 4 and 5 months to produce the whole season as they are 100% handmade shoes and require a lot of patience. We donate part of the profit to an NGO that supports women at risk of exclusion in the region where it occurs.
