A trip to SE Asia in 2015 broke our heart for poverty in the country and lack of opportunity for an amazing artisan group in Manila. They were weaving upcycled one of a kind fashion accessories out of repurposed single use plastic beverage packaging and did not have a market that would pay a living wage for their hand woven products, That's where we came in! A corporate gift order for a headquarters campus in the Chicagoland area launched SORA Products and our story began! Five years later, we have over thirty women in the Philippines that are weaving products for our ethical fashion brand, giving them a living wage for their craft and giving customers amazing ethically made fashion accessories that are earth friendly too! In each of our products you will find a sample of the packaging that is used to create the bag and the name of the weaver that made the product. 60% of the proceeds of your purchase go to the Philippines and the women weaving our products!
