Pokète is a new Canadian brand born out of the need for women to have functional and practical clothing and accessories with pockets. Its focus is on making women’s lives easier. The styling is timeless and great quality because women should love what they wear and be able to keep clothing for many many years. All styles feature hidden zip pockets to keep valuables safe. Pokète’s collection is inspired by a few common and everyday experiences. These include travelling (or not), taking the dog for a walk or going to play in the park with kids, all without having to drag an oversized bag. Also, wearing clothing and accessories with pockets that look great and are not clumsy or bulky is a nice addition to the wardrobe. Andrea Majnemer is the founder and “Head Pokèteer” behind the brand. She used her extensive years in the fashion industry to bring this idea to fruition. The lightbulb moment to jumpstart the project was her lifechanging cornea transplant that restored her vision. This event propelled her desire to see as much of the world as possible and instilled immense gratitude for her

In 2012, solo entrepreneur and mom Shafu Vakil launched her company Rayz Intl– a fashion line for scarves, exotic handbags, & trendy hats in Upstate NY. Born in the valley of Kashmir herself, textiles like cashmere and silk were and continue to be a source of beauty and inspiration for her. She loves picking out the fabrics, colors, and designs of her purses and other accessories together with the artisans who come from parts of the world where skilled craftsmanship is a cultural tradition that is passed down through generations. The relationship between the designer and artisans is an opportunity for creative collaboration across cultures. Her goal is to design and make beautiful, high-quality accessories like our best-selling five-zipper bag with the help of creative craftsmen and women. I felt like a part of me was missing, and I needed to figure out a way to get her back. Dora Nola is my alter Ego. Through Dora Nola, I become uninhibited, empowered and confident. Her personality was crafted from traits of women and men I admire. She gives herself permission to speak, to have fun, to be bold, courageous and ambitious. Cowboy Cowls by 7HCA was born from the reality of winters on our farm. Designed with AG life in mind we quickly realized that while extremely functional our cowls also can be the perfect accessory for daily wear in the cold season. After some trial and error we found the perfect fabrics, sizing and snap configuration to give the most versatility without sacrificing the original purpose of functionality.
