About pAx

At pAx, we are consistently working to represent and uplift the identities of women of color all around the world. Our bite definitely matches our bark; we collaborate exclusively with POC artists, we buy directly from black and brown businesses worldwide, and our team is composed entirely of women of color. Our founder, Sara Howell, started pAx in January after graduating from Princeton University in 2020 and working in fashion for a year. Although she was pre-med all four years at undergrad, her love of fashion solidified after founding the first fashion editorial for the university - she knew her future career would involve both worlds. Passionate about instilling equity for women in both medicine and fashion, she enrolled in Howard University College of Medicine in July, where she now pursues her medical degree while managing pAx. pAx is distinct as a luxury brand given our collections always work to showcase and honor different technical design techniques found in POC communities around the world; our SS22 colorful bustiers give an exquisite example of ancient Mayan feather-working, and our hand-dyed feather skirt pays homage to the enduring dye pits in Kofar Mata, Nigeria.Read their story
