About CA Studios

Hey there! I'm Christina- owner here at CA Studios. My brand is all about crafting beautiful pieces inspired by the forests and rolling Kentucky hills I call home. Every item you see in the shop is made in central Kentucky in my personal studio by my sister Adrienne & me. OUR MATERIALS We are always working to keep as many of our plants coming from local & small businesses as possible. Coming from a family with many generations of farmers. we are always delighted when we can work with small, local farms to source our plants. Currently our breakdown is approximately 60% from small businesses in the USA, 30% from farms in the USA, 8% from foraging, & 2% from big box craft stores. We prioritize sustainability when choosing our plants & work with small businesses with the same values. SUSTAINABILITY We avoid purchasing plastic materials, but if you do see bubble wrap in your order, about 90% of the time it has been reused from other orders we have received in the mail. We also use biodegradable peanuts made from corn & paper to pack orders. GIVING BACK We give 10% of sales for our LGBTQ+ items to The Trevor Project- an organization that provides support to LGBTQ+ youth. Brehmwood Creative

Our products are directly powered in part by solar panels connected directly to our property. Additionally, we continuously work to remove any waste plastics in packaging and reuse as much as we can and all packaging is recyclable paper products. I started my professional career many years ago as a professional pastry chef. Working in the hospitality industry for over a decade, and the majority of that in high volume kitchens, I felt the pull to learn to grow elsewhere. I loved the creativity and technical aspect of large scale pastry, but at that point in my career, growth and progress looked more and more like a managerial endeavor. Then, after a few years in Event Management and an MBA later, I made a pivot into the healthcare technology space. Specifically Revenue Cycle RPA. Although I was not developing code, I truly enjoyed the work and loved getting involved in the development as much as I could. I could see a creativity in the developers that rivaled my previous career, and I would argue at times exceeded. I have been in this current career, working close to automation, for nearly 4 years. In 2022, I picked up a hobby in 3d printing. I have somehow stumbled into a craft that I can only describe as an incredible amalgam of creativity, technical, and mechanical skills. It’s been a blast and I feel like I can’t get my ideas out of my head quick enough.
