About Trupo Treats Trupo Treats is a vegan and gluten-free chocolate company founded by twin brothers Brian and Charlie Trupo during college in 2020. What started as a simple craving for a creamy, nostalgic treat turned into a full-fledged mission to veganize childhood favorites—without compromising on taste, texture, or ethics. After discovering a lack of dairy-free, creamy chocolate options (especially anything like the candy bars they grew up with), the brothers launched their first product—our beloved Rice Crunch Bar—through a Kickstarter that quickly gained traction. Since then, we've expanded our line to include a variety of decadent, cruelty-free bars like our best-selling Mega Wafer Bar, Earth Gems (our answer to M&Ms), and caramel-layered treats that rival classic candy aisle staples. We pride ourselves on being a mission-driven brand that’s kind to people, the planet, and animals. Growing up, food and family always went hand in hand. Family gatherings and life events big and small involved food, drinks, and many laughs. Childhood memories are filled with time spent in the kitchen at home and at our grandparents' restaurant making all kinds of foods including sweets and chocolate desserts. We hand make our products in house, in small batches giving us the ability to better control quality, and freshness. We select each ingredient personally to ensure that it meets our high standards. Michelle Valdez Wilton created a snack that is nutritious and wholesome yet still indulgent. Dates don't normally have the reputation of being fun, so I wanted to create a product that would change that perception. The dates are stuffed with delicious nut butters and enrobed in organic fair trade chocolate that does not contain any preservatives and/or emulsifiers. All of our flavors are vegan and gluten-free. Created in 1912 by the Standard Candy Company in Nashville, Tennessee, the Original Goo Goo Cluster carries the honor of being considered America's first combination candy bar. Previous to the advent of the Goo Goo Cluster, candy bar manufacturing consisted of bars solely using chocolate, caramel or taffy. The Goo Goo Cluster represented the first time a bar consisted of more than just one principal ingredient. Luscious caramel, creamy marshmallow nougat, and fresh roasted peanuts were all covered with a thick coating of real milk chocolate, creating what many believe to be the official sweet of the South. In the years since the Original was invented, the company has added two more flavors to the produce line: a Pecan Goo Goo (same recipe as the Original, but replacing the peanuts with pecans) and a Peanut Butter Goo Goo, which contains peanut butter, peanuts and chocolate.
