About Altered Chic

Hello, we are Lisa and John and we create colourful and unique gifts and cards. Our story began in summer 2009, when Lisa took a selection of creations to a small local craft fair in Bakewell, Derbyshire. After receiving amazing feedback, we knew the next step was to open an online shop to reach a wider audience. Since then we have moved into our studio at The Clocktower in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Our team has also expanded with Claire, Joel, Hannah & Poppy joining us to create all our lovely products. Natalie also joined the team to help us run our own bricks and mortar gift shop in Chesterfield town centre called Shop Indie where we stock our own greetings cards and gifts alongside those from many other talented makers from across the UK. Seeing how well received our products have been for the last 15 years, especially in our gift shop, we knew that they would be perfect for sharing with more independent gift shops and boutiques.
