Hi! I'm Dionne Pedersen, artist, designer, wife, stepmom of 2, and fashion lover. I just fell into this wonderful venture thanks to my husband and his business partner. They have a Shutter Company in NC. After a layoff in February 2020 due to Covid, we were brainstorming ways to repurpose the wood in the shop, so that it is not wasted. We came up with making jewelry. We started playing around with designs, colors, and the different woods to create some beautiful designs. After brainstorming lots of names, the name Second Nature Jewelry stuck. After a lot of prayers, I took a leap of faith and went to my first Atlanta Gift Market in January 2021. So far, our earrings are in about 130 stores across the US. This new career is truly a blessing. I found something I love and hopefully you will love it too.
