Why Kinfolk Studio? Our Story In 2020 my aunt Yvonne Davidson passed away. Shortly following her funeral my brother-in-law and friend Poncho passed away from Covid 19. I will never forget the heartbreak and shock associated with the phone call from my cousin and brother . Just like that my hope of a recovery for both had been snatched away by the words “mom didn’t make it” and “Poncho passed away.” In the weeks following I searched for peace of mind. I had so many questions and still do. As a maker and artist my peace of mind finally came in the idea to create something that would give back and highlight the things they cared about.
