About LadooLadoo

Hello there. Thanks for visiting my store. I am a female, BIPOC artist and illustrator from Los Angeles. I grew up doodling and coloring while growing up in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Malaysia. My art is inspired by the colors of my childhood and nature. I grew up with four other sisters, my mom was very creative and we were always surrounded by plants and local fruits, vegetables and wonderful homemade food, and other objects. My mom gardened and my childhood was very colorful and fun. The name 'LadooLadoo' is from a dessert called Ladoo. It is a small sweet goodness made up of chickpea flour, ghee, and sugar that most of us loved eating growing up in South Asia. It is like chocolate in Europe! There are bakers and chefs back home that only make Ladoos and people come from all over and wait for hours to buy a box of these sweet Ladoos. I love the idea that a small sweet Ladoo can bring so much unity and passion and erase all the differences! Hope you enjoy my little shop and find the same joy! Please feel free to look around and see if you like anything. If not no worries, you can also follow me on Instagram @shopladooladoo or my personal @sumayyaansari to see my latest work.

Inkwell Cards

Sending handwritten greeting cards to my friends, family and colleagues is something I have done for as long as I can remember. I believe nothing shows someone is thinking of you more than when you are the recipient of a beautiful card. Every one of our designs has been carefully curated to give all the feels for every occasion!

InstaCake Cards

Sarah has always loved baking, and for years wanted to create the perfect birthday card that encompassed everything needed for the perfect birthday celebration. Birthday card, cake, candle for secret birthday wishes and of course, a party hat to kick off your celebration.. but as you can imagine, all of that inside a card would be a bit toug, as how could it all fit? Shipping a cake across the country, or the world could be a little.. messy! 5 years ago, she had a eureka! moment. Why not add dry cake mix, where the recipient can just add water to create their perfect celebration cake, in only 1 minute! That's when InstaCake Cards was born. InstaCake is still true to Sarahs original idea. Made with high quality locally sourced ingredients, woman owned and operated & hand packed in our peanut & nut free facility - right here on Vancouver Island. Offering you a full selection of delightfully delicious hand-crafted birthday cards & celebration kits to ensure you never need to miss another celebration! Our InstaCake Cards come with adorably matching envelopes that fit through the mail slot, making shipping a piece of cake!

The Beautiful Project

Located in the Pacific Northwest, The Beautiful Project was founded in 2007 by designer & illustrator Jeannette Ordas. She happily wears all the hats in this gig and has grown her line of cards into a collection of paper goods that reflects both the clever and the goofy. Sass served up with a wink and a chuckle is our calling card. The Beautiful Project is known for its playful & colourful illustrated greeting cards and super rad printed goods, proudly made from recycled card stock.

JooJoo Paper

Afsaneh Tajvidi is an illustrator and multimedia artist living with her husband and two funny cats in the beautiful city of Toronto. She is a big believer in finding joy in simple pleasures of life and sharing them with others. It can be as simple as finding a pretty autumn leaf on the ground or trying a new fruit for the first time. She loves to create the kind of art that celebrates these joyful little things. She does that with the hope of capturing good feelings so that you can re-live them over and over; something that brings a smile to your face and makes you daydream.

Pretty Alright Goods

Pretty Alright Goods makes greeting cards, goods, and gifts for the above average. I founded the brand (formerly The Matt Butler) in 2012 when I quit my fifth grade teaching job to pursue linocut printmaking. Hand printed wall art and TOMS shoes transitioned to greeting cards and gifts in 2015 and we haven’t looked back since. In 2018 the company was rebranded to Pretty Alright Goods after we added new members to our team. We continually work to produce products that are both witty and genuine. We love what we do and could not do it without the support of wonderful retailers like you. Thanks, Matt Founder + CEO
