In the year 2009, one of JAMES BARK founders found himself without a job, after much thought, he decided to leave his country and go find new opportunities in the United States. For three months he lived at his friend’s house, who happened to have a fawn french bulldog. Away from his family and without a clear path, he spent that time wondering what to do with his life. The frenchie became his companion and never left his side, little did he know that the image of his furry partner sitting by the window with a single ray of sun keeping him warm, would become engraved in his mind. At one point, he decided to return to his home country and never saw the frenchie again, but the memories of those emotional days stayed with him. In 2015 he and four friends started brainstorming; they were looking to start a business but weren’t quite sure what it was. After visiting a fashion show in Chicago, inspiration took over, suddenly everything clicked and it became obvious that they had to found a fashion brand. The story of the frenchie was well known amongst the group of friends who immediately thought of it when searching for their brand’s identity, one of the founders took his design abilities and imagined the logo we all know and love, and just like that, JAMES BARK was born! With the signature French Bulldog as the valuable emblem of the brand, and the puppy’s crown as a symbolic representation of status and honor, as well as the importance of timeless styles in fashion brands.
