The Cavepop product brand was launched in 2018 by two entrepreneurs inspired by products they purchased and thought, “we could do better.” With impressive backgrounds in industrial design and running successful import businesses respectively, they set out to engineer and manufacture unique new high-quality products at fair prices. The goal was not to reinvent the wheel - but to simply make it better - and keep the shopping experience fun along the way. During the past five (5) years, Cavepop expanded the product line with wall art, picture frames, kitchen-tabletop accessories and licensed products for Realtree, Precious Moments and more. However, no matter how we have changed our product catalog, we have never forgotten our original company strategy. Our main goal will always be the same - keep the shopping experience fun and affordable.

My mom has been running the shop for years and in October she broke her hand using one of the shop tools! We have always been involved and behind the scenes but when she broke her hand she decided to take a step back and concentrate on more family things! Hand built reclaimed wood home decor with a commitment to environmental responsibility. Santa Cruz, California natives and husband & wife team, Chris and Paige Curtis, inspire and bring to life all designs at their home in Aptos. Production takes place at their warehouse two miles away with the help of their team of employees. With roots all over Santa Cruz, the material they source (from mossy fences, old floor boards, barn wood, and anything else they can get their hands on) is 100% authentically weathered, recycled, and thoughtfully repurposed into sustainable goods for the home.

We are Christine and Reid owners and makers at Bibelot Design Studio. We believe strongly in the importance of quality handcrafted work and have made a living doing it for almost 30 years. It's no small feat to stay in business for that amount of time - it takes strong determination and good design work to keep things evolving and relevant while maintaining a distinct style. It all starts with the textiles. They are designed and printed in our studio on linen. We love linen for it sustainability and depth. Both of Christine's Grandmothers were weavers in the linen mills in Belfast, N. Ireland - both of them named Rose. :-) The linen is sewn into home decor items as well as sandwiching it between two layers of glass then soldering it together followed by a wash of patina then polish. They are each a little different because of the printing process. We also run a Bricks and Mortar studio/shop where we use our textiles to make a line of home decor and small batch ceramics including lighting and our handprinted lampshades. Our commitment to quality hand-crafted work remains our top priority. Keep checking back - we have lots of ideas brewing!
