The foundational philosophy of All Very Goods is that representation matters. We imagine an alternate world where the celebration and appreciation of diverse histories and cultures are part of everyday life. We visualize the products that would exist there and then create them here. The hope is that in doing so, we can help make this world a little bit better. Our designs use history, illustrations, graphic design, textile patterns and symbols from Africa, Asia and Europe to create products that are visual metaphors for a shared history and present experience. The bandanas were the original product and are intended to be a conversation with the wearer about identity, culture and personal mythology. The overwhelmingly positive response to the bandanas led to totes, pins, reusable grocery bags, greeting cards and wrapping papers. These goods use the same patterns, symbols and history in a way that creates conversations and that can be shared from one person to the next.

Black Joy Paper was created to amplify the voices of a group of talented Black artists, and to add diversity and inclusion in an industry that has lacked that presence in past years. As artists and business owners of six compelling brands of cards and stationery, we express our individuality, creativity, and experiences through our own respective product lines. With Black Joy Paper, we have come together to introduce a shared body of work that will not only add a new spectrum of color to the stationery industry but normalize the representation of Black artists. When naming the collective, we were inspired by our cultural pride and our desire to be represented in a way that would express Joy to everyone regardless of color. We value diversity, individual expression, and compassion. We hope you enjoy the humor and inspiration in the following pages … and maybe find a little of yourself. With cozy, colorful settings and storybook sentiments, this line is a beautiful addition to bright and cheery gift boutiques and book sellers everywhere. Fabled Forest is operated out of Beaverton, Oregon in the Portland metropolitan area. All product is solely created, printed, packaged and shipped by the owner. My name is Amy, and I currently create and inspire out of St. Louis, Mo. For ten years, I’ve found solace in journaling my day as a way to declutter my thoughts. There’s always been a powerful energy I’ve felt when writing - no matter what the subject. This energy connects me with myself, builds my faith in selfexpression, and my ability to organize the afairs of my life with ease. And this power I feel, I want the women around me to feel too. That's how Aims Moon Paperie came about in 2016: the idea was to design stationery as a tool for self reflection and organization for women who want to stay connected to themselves, become confident in self-expression and organize their responsibilities in a simple, beautiful and empowering way. Jean Marie Sanchez is Creator in Chief of Little Feet's Opus, LLC. A greeting card company that she launched in 2016; which offers beautifully illustrated greeting cards, totes, pouches, art prints and much more all with Jean's artistry and poetry emblazoned on every item. She launched her wholesale line in 2019 with much success. Jean has been journaling and sketching for as long as she can remember. A lover of all things paper - from greeting cards, journals, to lifestyle gifts, she instinctively knew creating in this space would be organic for her. In 2016 she began pairing her poems with her signature art, Afro Angels to create greeting cards. Her words are always from the heart and contain spiritual, empowering & uplifting messages. The art images reflect the women in her life. She was excited about adding diversity to an industry that she loved. She believes that representation matters, consumers are craving diversity and that her line speaks to many, not just those that “look” like her. Her cards and art prints are printed on premium uncoated coverstock . She uses 100% recycled Kraft white envelopes. To touch lives & facilitate communication between souls is her WHY. It’s an ability which God has blessed her with. To share this is priceless to her. Her cards and a line of related ephemera can be found at various art museum shops including The National Gallery of Art Museum located in Washington D.C. and boutiques in the USA and internationally.

Tiffany Grimes is a stationery designer who was raised by her grandmother on the south side of Chicago. For decades she witnessed her grandmother fill the hearts of those around her by filling their mailboxes with greeting cards. This seemingly small gesture left behind a treasured legacy of thoughtfulness. When her grandmother passed away in 2019, Tiffany committed to continuing her grandmother's practice of sending 100+ birthday cards a year. Unfortunately, after just three months she quit. One of the hardest parts of her quest was finding modern stationery that reflected her style and voice. When she couldn't find what she was looking for she set out to design it herself. Tiffany's mission is to inspire a new generation of thoughtfulness by providing stationery that helps women show up for the people they love, without the cluttered designs and dated sentiments of the past. When she's not sketching new card designs, Tiffany is homeschooling her three children, listening to podcasts or watching 90s sitcoms with her husband.

How many times have you found yourself in this scenario: It’s a friend’s or relative’s birthday and you’re driving to the store at the last minute to buy a card. Also, you need to grab stamps. “I’ve been there more times than I care to remember,” shares Culture Greetings’ founder, Dr. Dionne Mahaffey. It’s a problem Mahaffey has solved for the rest of us. Launched in 2018, her Atlanta-based company, Culture Greetings, offers contemporary greeting cards specifically geared towards Black people and other people of color. The cards can be personalized and queued for mailing – right from your desk. And through innovative web to print technology the cards are mailed directly to your recipients. The brand also collaborates with Walgreens, allowing customers to pick up cards same-day at their local Walgreens or Duane Reed store. Recognizing the need to continue amplifying Black imagery in the social expression industry, Culture Greetings also has a wholesale option for retailers in the US and Canada.

One of my fondest memories as a child is of my father buying me Black greeting cards. At the time, I thought the gesture was super corny, but on every major holiday without fail, my father would give me a greeting card, with Black images gracing the cover, and a warm message on the inside to let me know he cared. These cards weren’t available at big-box retailers but sold at Black-owned bookstores throughout Austin, Texas, that eventually closed as the years passed, and economic downturns took its toll. I never forgot how these cards made me feel – Loved, Seen, and Understood. After becoming a mother, I had a burning desire to create these same memories with my son, but Black greeting cards were hard to come by. As an artist, I decided it was time to fill that void and create a paper goods line. By Ms. James is more than just a handmade paper goods line, it's a reflection of cultural traditions possibly forgotten, conversations you want to remember and memories you hope never fade.

I love dancing, game nights, fictional crime TV and cold brew. AND THE MOON WILL RISE launched in 2019 with a name inspired by Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, "even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise." A long time night owl, the moon is a powerful antidote to even my most chaotic days. Its rise represents an opportunity to reflect, refocus and let my creative energy flow. So, while the name is a bit unusual, it's full of meaning and heart. And that's what this small business is all about.

Paper Rehab started in 2018 with a dream to see more reflections of women of color but has evolved into so much more. It's about creating art and meaningful sentiments to sustain the relationships between women. From personal experience and observing life we understand that many relationships diminish because of words left unsaid, disputes left unresolved and apologizes not heard. We find our purpose in that reality. That's why Paper Rehab hopes to be the anchor that keeps relationships thriving when the waves are calm and when they are stormy and unyielding.
