When we started back in 1995, we were just a small family business with a huge creative heart and an even bigger idea. We didn't buy into the notion that art should have to be a 'fancy-schmancy' thing locked away in stuffy museums. We believed (and still do) art should be part of everyday life, accessible to all of us, and created by any of us. We believe art should be a gorgeous painting by a local or regional artist hanging on your kitchen wall. It should be a unique necklace, handcrafted by a local artisan, that you wear on your night out. In other words, 'Everyday Art for Everyday People.' Over time, this philosophy has guided our journey from just a small-town metal artist to a growing team of artists, then eventually branching into distinct brands that reflect this mission. First came Dugout Creek, offering fun, affordable themed decor and delightful gifts. Next was Meyerdirk Art, capturing the beauty of modern-style metal art and sculptures. Finally, after years of working with local artists, we've launched Online Art Festival, an exciting digital marketplace that showcases creations from artists all over the US and delivers a whole new catalog of products shipped direct from the artists & makers who create them!Read their story
