About EcoFair Trading

SMALL FOOTPRINT, BIG IMPACT In business since 2005, we are a small Canadian company specializing in the import, wholesale distribution and retail fundraising of eco-friendly, fair trade food items and handicrafts from around the world. Fair Trade means a direct trading partnership, based on transparency and mutual respect, that benefits marginalized artisans and their communities directly, through fair, living wages and local socio-economic development, while fostering worker’s rights, gender equity and environmental stewardship. EcoFair trades directly with producer groups from around the world in central and South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, and strictly adheres to the principles of Fair Trade. Our producer partners undergo strict social and financial audits. These audits ensure that people are paid a fair living wage, and that school and health clinics are funded, all part of fair trade. EcoFair handicrafts are 100% certified fair trade organizations as members of the WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) www.wfto.com and/or FTF (Fair TradeFederation) www.fairtradefederation.org. Our coffee and chocolates are FAIRTRADE certified by Fairtrade International (FLO) www.fairtrade.net. All of our products are fair trade in the strictest sense, and all have an eco-benefit as compared to their “conventional” equivalent. They leave a small footprint on the environment, and have a big impact on the lives of the producers. SMALL FOOTPRINT, BIG IMPACT.
