Stoles imagined over a drink in a hidden bar in Berlin, baskets designed after an exhibition at the Maeght Foundation or in a farm in Arles among the flowers. Durable jewellery in recycled sterling silver, bronze or ebony that can be passed on from generation to generation, that will age with us, that we can adjust and repair over the years. We imagine jewels to make known a culture and a know-how, to travel, to see the dunes and the sun hidden in a sandstorm, to invent a joyful and sensitive fashion and to maintain the link with the Tuareg craftsmen who constantly enchant us by their poetry and their technical prowess. We love the colours of Matisse, dancing to the songs of Tinariwen and Patti Smith and dreaming to the ballads of Sufjan Stevens or in front of a Pina Bausch show. Psychometry. As soon as I learned of the word and it's meaning, it resonated with me. It is a word with implication that perhaps those special pieces of jewelry that we frequently adorn, do actually hold something of us within. At a young age I crossed paths with a psychometrist. My encounter with her rocked me and further embedded within me that feeling that certain pieces of jewelry that we cherish and frequently wear, really do become a talisman.

Designer Carla Josefina is a third generation jeweler from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her love for jewelry began as a little girl; wandering the streets of Old San Juan with her grandfather Isidro, who founded the family jewelry business Letran in 1963. After graduating college in 2010, Carla started working full time in Letran where she discover her passion for colors, gemstone and design. Carla Launched her first handmade collection in 2012, and she recently partnered with her brother Alfredo to embark a new journey by creating JOSEFINA, whose name is inspired by their mother and grandmother.
