Here I make functional ceramic objects for your spaces , by hand. I make all of the pots in my basement home studio in Philadelphia PA. As you can see most of my works are made with hand dyed clay and layered to create an agate looking surface. This technique is called Nerikomi, it is a traditional Japanese technique, but also historically can be found in Egypt and every man’s favorite time The Romans!! My work is made in small batches, with focus on each piece, so when ordering your pieces will all have a familial feel to them. I chose the name MVP STUDIO because my lovely parents gave me the initials MVP. While the studio end of it refers to all that can happen in a studio. I teach clay classes, fire other people’s work, consult on clay related topics, and any other hobby support that is needed. So MVP STUDIO is wholesale + support. We use a fine, white porcelain clay which is fired to over 2300 degrees Fahrenheit to become glass-like, water-tight, and food-safe. Finely thrown and seemingly delicate, porcelain is quite robust--a delicate cup with a strong message. Each piece of pottery is made and decorated by hand in Brooklyn, New York. Ceramics and Theory is represented by home boutiques and fine craft galleries throughout the country. Founder Dustin Yager has been engaged with clay for more than a dozen years, carefully developing expertise in working with porcelain on the pottery wheel. Prior to coming to New York in 2016, he lived and worked in Minneapolis and Chicago. Dustin has exhibited his work across the country and internationally, and given presentations about his practice at the Walker Art Center, the National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) and Pecha Kucha Chicago. He is originally from Wyoming.

E.Lo Ceramic Art is design and creation of clean modern functional forms by artist Emily LoPresto. Emily has been working with clay for more than half her life, her current work is functional slip cast ceramic objects for every day use. With an emphasis on the process of mold making the work starts as lines and shapes in 3D modeling software. Emily uses modern technology as an aid in creating prototypes that are used to make plaster molds. Using colored porcelain each piece is cast in a mold and finished by hand. The functionally of the work is what drives the design and the idea of use is what drives the maker.

Hi! I'm Jannette, the person behind trece Cielos, I'm a graphic designer and illustrator from Mexico City living in Los Angeles. I founded trece Cielos in 2017. I started making funny mugs for friends and family. I started selling them once my first baby was born. I love food, cooking mexican dishes, traveling and nature. La Botella combines founder Rachel’s love of eclectic decor and a desire to live in a more sustainable world by upcycling glass bottles into a number of home decor items. Each bottle is locally sourced, then cut, sanded and polished in her Durham home.
