I grew up in a small town at the end of the Alaska Highway. I remember walking in the hills, through the trees, and fishing the rivers in the summer. My friends and I had to travel on foot, boat, or airplane to get where we needed to go. We took with us pocket-sized tins filled with fishing tackle, fire starter, and other emergency and survival gear. Now, based in NYC I bring this simplicity and portability to the craft cocktail experience.

Cheeky is a line of non-alcoholic, premium syrups and juices for the home and bar. Our products are shelf-stable for up to two years. We never add artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. OUR STORY In 2015 our founder and beverage industry veteran, April Wachtel, was teaching cocktail classes at Astor Center in New York City and working as a brand ambassador for Bacardi. April realized her students wanted to make bar-quality cocktails at home but couldn't access the essential ingredients behind bars, like 100% citrus juices (not from concentrate and without preservatives) and bar syrups like simple syrup and ginger syrup. Craft cocktail bartenders made all their ingredients from scratch, and no brand sold shelf-stable versions made with real bar recipes. ~ However, home consumers weren't the only ones struggling with this problem. Bar programs struggled with consistency, labor, cost, speed of service, and more. ~ April decided someone should make a product that helped solve this problem and she launched Cheeky into the first wave of COVID in 2020. ~ Cheeky is currently served in bar programs at four-star hotels, stadiums, and resorts, ships nationally within the US and Canada, and is sold in boutiques, gourmet grocers, and liquor stores in 44 states, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, and Australia. ~ Cheeky has been recognized in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other publications.

Based on the observation that there were often only too sweet sodas or ordinary juices as an alternative to alcohol, they decided to go further... And after 2 years of reflection, trials and studies, their desire to unite their two cultures gave birth to SUPREME BOISSONS, natural drinks with flavors of African origin, designed for the European market.

It was the festive season, and she was sick of drinking soda water, or lemon, lime, and bitters, and missing out on festive cocktails! She discovered the intriguing world of Shrub syrups through an article in a magazine, and decided to try making them herself. She was hooked. The traditional, colonial recipe combines the sweetness of fruit and sugar, and the tartness of apple cider vinegar. She found it irresistible. A love affair began, and in 2019 The Curious Cabinet entered the world. Now, with 16 different products in our range, we’re thrilled to be stocked by over 100 businesses nationally. We are also extremely proud of our low waste philosophy, having created a range of delicious preserves & pantry products using the fruit left over after making our Shrub Syrups. This means we use as much of our beautiful ingredients as possible, with very little waste. The most important benefit of all - more delicious treats for you to enjoy!
