Welcome to Southern Creek! We started making car freshies at our kitchen table in 2016 and haven't stopped since. It all started when one of us watched a video and said we could do that.... What started as a small mother daughter duo making 20 air fresheners a week has now grown to a complete family affair + 8 employees! We want you to get the freshies you know your customers will love. Our freshies are made with fragrance oils and aroma beads. We offer seasonal, themed, and custom freshies. We consistently change and expand our offerings. Everything is done in-house from designing each freshie to scenting beads so we can bring you the best quality. It all began when my husband, Tom, and I moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Hong Kong in the early 1980s for his work. Once I finished getting situated with our new home atop The Peak and having our first child 3 months later, I started a company called Temptations. I chauffeured friends and friends-of-friends around the city to whatever their shopping hearts desired. Having gone through the process of finding furniture for our flat and raising a newborn, I knew just about every aspect of the city. The food, the insanely generous people of the region, and the geography captivated my mind. This is when the lightbulb went off in my head...I began to see how the manufacturing process worked. Recognizing where the source of the raw materials began, I was encouraged to start designing and manufacturing all the ideas that accumulated in my head for so many years. So when my time in Asia ended in the late 80s when Tom and I and our 2 year old son(Thomas) moved back to Atlanta, Georgia; I had to figure out a way to keep Asia in my life. This is when I started to design and manufacture. I created an event planning/decorating business in Atlanta. Somehow I ended up focusing on manufacturing luggage, I guess it was due to the fact that I'm constantly traveling. Whether for business or pleasure, I like carrying a piece of luggage that is durable, efficient, and (of course) looks fabulous. I only carry my own designs and see myself as the ultimate product tester.

Birdling co-founders Courtney and Meagan are lifelong best friends who spent many years traveling together as families in the days when seat belts were optional and the only travel bags were clunky suitcases. In 2012 Courtney went on her first trip with her new family of three and quickly realized there had to be a better bag option for packing and staying organized while traveling, so she enlisted the help of Meagan to design a modern compartmentalized travel bag. A Weekender bag soon led to everyday bags!
