The acquisition of old machines in factories that had closed and were destined for “slaughter” or simple abandonment, paved the way for the passionate process of transforming wool into yarn and finally into fabrics. In 2010, we opened doors in the heart of Lisbon, in Chiado, which set the tone for our brand - CHIcoração. It was just the beginning of a hike. Today you can find us at Alfama, always committed to growing in quality and innovation, ensuring the excellence of our products.

Bronte Moon is an importer and distributor of British Wool products manufactured in a 182 year old mill in the Yorkshire Dales in England. On a visit to the UK in 2014 we visited a local store and found some beautiful throws that we wanted for our house in America. We decided that we couldn't bring them back in our suitcases as we were already overweight so we phoned the mill and asked where we could buy them in the US. We were told that unfortunately the mill had very few customers in America so we decided that we should import and sell them ourselves. Since then our business has grown rapidly and we now supply many stores across North America and Canada, our direct on line retail business has grown substantially and continues to grow year on year. My name is Corrine Zorra and I am one crafty mama from the small town of Aromas, California. I pride myself in making quality handmade goods. All items are personally made by me just for you. I make them in my horse tack rooms that I converted to workshops in my barn. "Hence, the name". My creative background in event design helps me combine graphics, colors, and textures. I continuously challenge myself to create new functional but yet beautiful merchandise. There is nothing better than feeling cute, comfortable, and confident. I strive to bring that to all my fellow T-Shirt and jeans kinda girls!

I am a naturalist and an artist so it is no surprise that nature has a starring role in all of my work. I dye fabric using all natural dyes - many that I gather and grow myself - and also print leaves onto fabric using only the natural pigments found within each leaf. The botanical prints are permanent imprints that show the leaf’s unique details and tell a story of season and place. Through wearable accessories, home goods, and plant dyed craft supplies, my work allows you to surround yourself with the beauty of nature. The natural dyes I use are all colorfast and items are fully washable. My work is centered around northwest native plants and I am inspired by living and working at Cedar Dell Forest Farm on the outskirts of Portland, OR, where I teach textile workshops and children’s nature programs.

We are based in and ship from Davidson, NC, USA, where we design many of our products at our studio. We also travel to India to design alongside local artisans. Our goal is to offer a blend of east and west, sustainably made products, celebrating the handwork and textiles of traditional Indian culture. Devika Santos was born in Mumbai, India and lived there with her parents until 1993 when she moved to the US and studied textiles at Philadelphia College of Textiles. She shares her passion for tradition with her husband and two children. Her parents still live in India, where she visits regularly. While visiting, she works with local artisans to design and create textiles. Peaceware follows ethical practices and ensures that the communities bought from are doing the same.
